Low-e glass

The glass in your home should keep your heat inside in the winter, keep the sun's heat out in the summer, and not drastically reduce the amount of natural light that you receive through your windows. Sound like too much to ask for? Not when you select Performance Plus II low-e glass in your Harry G. Barr windows and doors.

Some low-e products are designed to work best in winter climates. They do a great job of trapping the heat inside your house so it doesn't escape to the outside. Other types of glass will cut down on your summertime heat gain but can be dark in color and limit the amount of natural light that you can use to light your home.

The exceptional coating on Performance Plus II glass provides a center of glass U-value of 0.25 when combined with argon gas and Superspacer. The Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of 0.41 cuts out most of the sun's solar energy, while transmitting 70% of the visible light into your home.
